So what are your local options around SW London? read on…
Dear living in Clapham,
Well time to say goodbye summer days, hello autumn nights! So what’s next on the festivity agenda of Clapham love? Well the 2 things to look forward to next are Halloween nights & Fireworks displays in SW London!
We’ll be covering Halloween nights on the next post, but because we know YOU want to know “What is happening about Clapham fireworks?” we thought we’d release this info first!
BREAKING Clapham news: We have waited just like you in anticipation and you may have read that Clapham fireworks was going to be happening, but sad to say our reliable sources have told us otherwise.
This is kind of sad yes, as the traditional Clapham Common fireworks did not happen last November either. We have no say or arms to twist in this, so just as disappointed as you Clapham-arians.
So where else are Fireworks displays in SW London?
All is not lost as you still have 2 great options for Lambeth fireworks displays and both are Free entry! They are:
1) Brockwell Park
2) Streatham Common
These will be non-ticketed firework displays both on Friday, 2nd November 2012. We’ve been told: “The event will open at 4:00pm, with roaming entertainment and food and drinks vendors.”
The actual times of the displays are yet to be confirmed so for now, but most likely around 7.30pm, so arrive early to avoid congestion.
A third option could be the Battersea Park fireworks display on Sat, 3rd November. This is a paid display and currently £6.50 but will go up to £10 nearer the time (wandsworth.gov.uk for mre info).
Don’t let this dampen your plans, instead share the neighbourly love and get over to Streatham Common or a 37 bus ride away to Brockwell park.
As always, if you found this post useful; leave a comment, share the love share this post or just like it! 🙂
On the next post we’ll be covering Clapham Halloween party nights – whoop whoop!! See you on the next post, Del and Georgina
